Tennessee Factory Explosion
A terrible explosion at a factory in Tennessee has killed several people and left many others missing.
The blast happened early Friday morning at Accurate Energetic Systems, a company in Hickman County that makes and stores explosive materials for defense and business use.
Loud Blast Shakes the Area
The neighbours near the spot wope up and ran to see what happened,as the noise was loud.Many said it felt like an earthquake. The sound came from the Accurate Energetic Systems plant, which was soon covered in thick smoke and flames.
With in few minutes the Emergency teams, firefighters, and officers from nearby areas quickly reached the site.
As per the reports the team took several hours to control the fire and search for missing workers. Officials said multiple people have died, while at least 19 workers are still missing.
Cause of Explosion Still Unknown
There is still no confirmation from the official about why the explosion took place,Authorities are still trying to find out what caused the explosion.
Early reports suggest it might have started because of the dangerous materials stored inside the plant.
The Tennessee Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) asked people nearby to stay indoors because there could be harmful chemicals in the air.
